Founder + Creative Director // With a soul that’s fueled by creativity and a passion for sharing her love of art with the masses—the pint-sized masses, that is—Courtney brings energy, positivity, and compassion to the studio. A native Rochestarian, she has spent her life exploring the arts, from music, to studio art, to dance, to graphic design. After a brief stint at Mercyhurst College (now Mercyhurst University) that culminated in a minor in Dance, Courtney returned to Rochester to be closer to her family and to study graphic design at RIT (she holds a BFA in Graphic Design).
Upon graduation, Courtney spread her creative wings locally, working with advertising, marketing, branding and trade show design companies before embarking on her most important job to date—motherhood. And when it became clear that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree when it came to an interest in the arts, the idea for Small Fry Art Studio was born. Courtney’s kids—five-year-old Emmi and two-year-old Everett—are her muses and her project testers, and she finds immense joy in playing a small role in inspiring the next generation of artists.
